Carlos Baleva has been linked with a move from Brighton at the end of the season.

Manchester United are interested in signing the talented young midfielder and are the frontrunners to sign him. They need more physicality and defensive cover in the middle of the park and Baleva would be a great addition.

Carlos Baleva would be a great signing

The Cameroon international has proven his quality in the Premier League and is ready for the next step. It will be exciting for him to join one of the biggest clubs in the world. He could be an ideal replacement for a player like Casemiro. Manuel Ugarte has had a very underwhelming performance and Manchester United need an upgrade from him. Signing Brighton’s star player could be ideal.

According to TEAMtalk, the player is likely to cost around £70m in the summer, with Manchester United having the financial wherewithal to make the deal happen. It remains to be seen whether they can finish this move. The player was initially valued at £100m, but Brighton are expected to lower their offer in the summer.

The 22-year-old would be an unusual signing as Manchester United aim to build their squad for the future. He has proven himself at Brighton and is ready for the next step. Joining Manchester United will allow him to further develop and realize his potential. They have been successful in developing young players in the past and could contribute to the development of African players in the coming months.

It remains to be seen whether other clubs are willing to compete for his contract in the summer.

Liverpool are also interested in the talented midfielder, while Tottenham are also keeping an eye on his situation. It will be interesting to see which of the three clubs can sign the contract.
