  • Salah’s uncertain future is driving Liverpool’s plans
  • Rodrygo could leave Real Madrid for more playing time

Liverpool’s summer transfer strategy could be shaped by uncertainty over Mohamed Salah’s future, with Real Madrid forward Rodrygo reportedly emerging as a potential long-term replacement.

A source close to X said that while speculation continues over Salah’s next move, it is understood that the Reds are evaluating highly capable options who can maintain attacking standards.

Rodrigo is one of Real Madrid’s most technically gifted forwards and is linked with a move to the Premier League if the situation is right.

Salah’s uncertain future is driving Liverpool’s plans

Liverpool have relied heavily on Salah’s consistency and goal output over the years.

However, with him now 33 years old and increased external interest from Saudi Arabia and MLS, the club must prepare for his eventual successor.

Even if Salah stays for another season, recruiters are thought to be looking for a player who can evolve into the next focal point of Liverpool’s attack.

Given Rodrygo’s age profile, versatility and Champions League pedigree, he is a natural candidate.

Real Madrid boasts a talented attacking team, and competition for playing time is heating up.

Rodrigo has impressed in major European competitions in recent seasons, but questions have been raised about his long-term place in Madrid’s evolving front line.

The Brazilian’s ability to play in this front three, particularly from the right flank, reflects many of Salah’s tactical responsibilities.

His close control, intelligent movement and eye for goal could fit seamlessly into Liverpool’s high-intensity system.

Rodrigo has mainly struggled this season, scoring just three goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season.

Liverpool are not the only team keeping an eye on the situation. There have also been reports of links with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, suggesting any potential signing would require a significant financial commitment.
