Manchester United are interested in signing Julian Ryerson from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has been exceptional for the German club this season and could be sold in the summer. The German team needs to raise funds to make ends meet, especially after failing to secure a place beyond the UEFA Champions League play-off stages this season.
They are willing to sell the player for 30 million euros, with Manchester United also showing interest in the player. The player has been described by Bild newspaper as the “king of the cross” and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United are prepared to pay that price.
He has recorded 11 assists in all competitions this season, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to succeed in the Premier League. He could add a new dimension to Manchester United. He will help tighten up the team at the back and create more chances for his teammates.
Diogo Dalot is a decent option for Manchester United, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in his attacking play. Manchester United could upgrade that area of the pitch. At 28 years old, he has the qualifications and experience to be an immediate force.
The asking price of 30 million euros is also a reasonable amount for a player of his quality. Manchester United have the resources to get a deal done and should try to get this move done quickly.
The player is also reportedly a target of Barcelona. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. The opportunity to move to La Liga or the Premier League would be attractive for him. It will be a big step up in his career and will test him at an elite level.
