This week, the best on the PGA Tour takes place at Bay Hill Club & Lodge with the always entertaining Arnold Palmer Invitational. The third marquee event of the 2026 season will feature big money and big prizes up for grabs, but API will also serve as the flagship event golfers will hope to conquer on their way to gearing up for a major championship.
Russell Henry competed as the defending champion and scored the biggest win of his career to date in 2025, a year after his T4 finish at Bay Hill. The man he narrowly beat in the final round a year ago was 2026 Signature Event first-time winner Collin Morikawa. He almost came out of the drought at Bay Hill, but stalled on Sunday and watched Henry win by one stroke.
In addition to Henry, several other past champions will be competing this week looking to add to their resumes at Bay Hill. Most notably, Scottie Scheffler won in 2022 and 2024. He could join Tiger Woods as the only players to win the event three times. (Woods has won a staggering eight API trophies.) Rory McIlroy is aiming for his first win in 2026 to keep pace with Scheffler, and his second at Bay Hill after winning back-to-back games in 2018.
While Scheffler and McIlroy will once again be the headliners, the rest of the field will be looking to continue their comparable performance in this recent signature event. Since Scheffler won the 2024 Travelers (and a total of four signature events that year), there have been 10 consecutive signature events with different winners, and huge winner’s checks from the $20 million purse have been distributed over the past year-plus.
Here’s how to watch Scheffler, McIlroy, Henry and more fight at Bay Hill this week.
