Ethan Ampadu’s remarkable development at Leeds United
Things did not go well for the 25-year-old at Stamford Bridge, but he has established himself as one of the main players at the Yorkshire-based side. The defensive midfielder has been one of Leeds United’s standout performers this season as they aim to survive in the drop zone.
Farke’s side are three points clear of the drop zone and staying in England’s top flight would greatly improve Ampadu’s chances of securing his long-term future with a new deal.
Leeds United prioritize renewing Ampadu’s contract
Leeds United are considering a number of midfield replacements, but their priority is to ensure their captain remains at the club. His experience and leadership qualities are extremely important to the entire team.
More importantly, his ability to function not only in the midfield but also in the heart of the defense makes him an invaluable part of the team’s setup. The club does not want him to enter the final year of his contract and will negotiate with his camp regarding a new contract.
