Tottenham could be parting ways with much-criticized caretaker manager Igor Tudor sooner rather than later, with a very interesting name throwing his hat into the ring.

Igor Tudor attends Liverpool press conference, but Tottenham’s end is in sight

Tudor is still working, but only just.

Tottenham confirmed on Wednesday that the 47-year-old would appear in Friday’s pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s trip to Anfield, all but ruling out the possibility of an immediate sacking, but no one in the N17 is pretending everything is okay.

The numbers speak for themselves.

6 consecutive losses. Since taking over as coach, Tudor has lost four games out of four. They have conceded 14 goals in these four games alone. They are one point above the relegation zone. In 2026, he went 11 games without a win in the Premier League and never won in the top flight – a club record.

The Lewis family is said to be disillusioned, while senior players are also furious and have little faith that Tudor will support them (Telegraph).

Liverpool are away on Sunday, and the following week it’s Nottingham Forest who have a genuine six points. Tudor’s fate could be decided within 10 days. It’s very hard to see how he will survive if the Spurs lose both of them, and many are calling for the Croatian to be released long before that happens.

So who will intervene? That’s the question that divides the entire fan base.

Some information regarding the Spurs’ firing process has been revealed.

According to reports, Sean Dyche, who was sacked by Nottingham Forest earlier this season, is keen to take the job at Tottenham, while Thiago Motta and Robbie Keane are also thought to be favorite candidates to manage Spurs.

Another man has made his feelings clear about the potential Spurs vacancy today.

Harry Redknapp joins Tottenham after receiving Levy’s call

Harry Redknapp, 79, who managed Spurs for four years between 2008 and 2012, has never been shy about his love of the game.

And this morning on talkSPORT, the former long-serving West Ham manager made it clear that his job may not be done yet.

Asked directly if he would take the Tottenham job, Redknapp did not hesitate.

“Yes, of course I will,” he said.

“I would never say no, but to tell you the truth, I don’t think I could figure it out myself.”

Honest, self-conscious, and very Harry-like. He knows the reality, but the desire is absolutely there.

He also made it clear that he believes this is a name that really should be on the shortlist.

“Tim would have a good voice now,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.

“I think Tim Sherwood is like Tim and Glenn Hoddle.”

The demand for familiar faces is growing louder every day. Former Spurs midfielder David Bentley has publicly backed Redknapp in a short-term role, insisting the team is in desperate need of someone who genuinely cares about the club.

Gary Lineker is making similar noises. Even Jamie O’Hara, a former Spurs player himself, urged the club to pick up the phone on Redknapp immediately.

All of this comes against the backdrop of a remarkable fact that Mr Redknapp shared today: that former chairman Daniel Levy contacted Mr Redknapp last week.

It was their first conversation in more than a decade, but Levy made it clear that his admiration for his former manager remains undiminished.

“Funny enough, I got a call from Daniel last week,” Redknapp continued.

“I think I spoke to him once after I left home a long time ago, but I was in the car last week and suddenly I got a call and it was Daniel Levy.

“I thought, ‘That’s weird,’ and I was on the phone with him for about 30 minutes talking to him, and he was explaining what happened to him and how he got kicked out of there, and it was really weird.

“And he said to me, ‘If I were there right now, I wouldn’t just say, I’d keep you back until the end of the season, Harry’ – so that would have been interesting.”

It remains to be seen whether any of this will lead to concrete approaches from Johan Lange, Vinay Venkatesham and current owners Vivian Lewis and Charles Lewis, with son-in-law Nick Boucher reportedly becoming increasingly influential.
