Elliott Anderson has been linked with a move from Nottingham Forest at the end of the season, with several clubs showing an interest in him.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder could command a transfer fee of around £90m to £100m in the summer, with Manchester United keen to sign him.
Elliott Anderson is preparing for a big move
TeamTalk reports that Newcastle United are monitoring the former midfielder and could break his transfer record if they lose Sandro Tonali or Bruno Guimarães.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are also interested in the player and are in pole position to make a move.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He has established himself as a key player for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and has consistently shown his ability. He has done well for his country and now could be the right time to take the next step in his career and join a bigger club.
Anderson will improve all three clubs
Manchester United or Manchester City could be the ideal destination for him. Both clubs need more quality in their defensive midfield areas and Anderson would be a great addition. He is a young player with a lot of potential and can improve with coaching and experience. Even if the asking price is quite high, players may be able to justify the investment in the future.
He will help both clubs, strengthen their defense and allow their creative players more freedom. He is well accustomed to English football and could make an immediate impact next season.
It will be interesting to see if the player intends to move to Manchester in the summer. The chance to return to his boyhood club could also be appealing.
