Mohamed Salah injured against Galatasaray
Liverpool need Salah back
Salah felt a problem with his groin and requested to be substituted late in the second half. Although he hasn’t been at his best this season, he remains an important player for Liverpool and they will need him on the pitch for the rest of the season. They are already without Alexander Isaac.
Salah has been linked with a move from Liverpool following his disappointing performances.
The Egyptian international scored an extraordinary goal and teammate Hugo Ekitike set up another goal. He could play a key role in the team’s bid to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to action this weekend.
Meanwhile, Liverpool achieved an astonishing 40-point victory in the second leg of the final tournament against Turkey, clinching a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Although they lost in the first leg, they changed their style and won comfortably at Anfield.
They will face PSG in the next round, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to overcome the French champions. Although they lost to the French national team in last season’s UEFA Champions League, they won the Champions League. Liverpool will definitely be looking to avenge their defeat here.
