Thomas was the 29th golfer in the tournament last year, and is now fourth in the official world golf rankings. He secured his 16th victory at the signature event, RBC Heritage, with a total of seven top-10 finishes, including three runner-ups. <\/p>\n<p>The British Open was Thomas&#8217; toughest major, but he performed brilliantly on his previous trip to Royal Portrush, finishing 11th in the 2019 Open Championship.
