He also retired at the Australian Open in January, the French Open in May, and at last year&#8217;s Wimbledon and the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>At the final point against the sinner, Dimitrov served and immediately grabbed his chest with his left hand. He took a few steps and crouched down before sitting on the grass. The sinner walked to that side of the court to check him out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My peck,&#8221; Dimitrov told Sinner.<\/p>\n<p>Dimitrov &#8211; three major semi-finalists including Wimbledon in 2014 &#8211; went to the sidelines, sat in a chair and was checked by trainers and doctors. When Dimitrov spoke to them, the sinner kneeled nearby. He frequently swings his right arm and rubs his elbows between the points.<\/p>\n<p>Assuming he can continue the tournament, the 23-year-old Italian and three-time major champion will play US No. 10 Ben Shelton for the berth in the semi-finals. Thinner led the Series 5-1 and won the last five matches in straight sets, including last year&#8217;s Wimbledon and the Australian Open.<\/p>\n<p>Thinner entered on Monday, losing a total of 17 games in the tournament, with Wimbledon men setting the lowest record in their open days through three completed matches.<\/p>\n<p>The match was paused shortly after he fell late in two sets against Dimitrov, and the sun was waning, so the retractable roof of the stadium could be closed.<\/p>\n<p>After about 30 minutes, the match ended.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, it was Dimitrov&#8217;s 10th career retirement in the majors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s been very unlucky over the past few years. He&#8217;s an incredible player. He&#8217;s also a good friend of mine.
