This is the longest tour-level winning streak for under 22 since Juan Martin del Potro won 23 straight wins from Stuttgart in 2008 at the 19-year-old US Open.<\/p>\n<p>Second seeded Alcaraz became the second Spanish player in history to reach the male singles semi-finals at Wimbledon three times. The other was Rafael Nadal.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz has made the appearance of the fifth main draw, improving to 23-2 at Wimbledon. Among men making their debut in the open era, only Bjorn Borg has more match wins in their first five appearances at the All England Club.<\/p>\n<p>After Nolly served to open the match on centre court, Alcaraz rattled and controlled the next five games against the left-handed.<\/p>\n<p>He burned the opening set in 28 minutes. Many of the centre court seats are still open as fans were hoping for a refresh after seeing Alina Sabarenka&#8217;s two-hour and 54-minute quarter-final victory.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline float-r inline-track\">\n<h2 class=\"img-title\">Would you like to order a double double?<\/h2>\n<p>Carlos Alcaraz has been two games since completing the French Open Wimbledon Double for the second year in a row. During the Open era (after 1968), there were two players, male or female, to win the French Open and Wimbledon in a row.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Bjorn Borg (3 straights from 1978-80)<br \/>\u2022Steffi Graf (2 straights in 1995 and 1996)<\/p>\n<p><i>-ESPN Research<\/i><\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Alcaraz never put Norrie in the match. He combined 39 winners and 13 aces, using 26 unprotected errors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s very special to be able to play another semi-final here at Wimbledon,&#8221; Alcaraz said in an on-court interview after finishing the quarter-final match in 1 hour and 39 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz scored 89% of his first serve points against Nolly, the best mark in the major matches of his young career.<\/p>\n<p>He faces the fifth American Taylor Fritz and wins a spot in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz is about to become the fourth man to win the French Open and Wimbledon multiple times in the same year.
