He is listed at +100 and will crack top 20 and +220 to finish within the top 10 this week. He is the target of anyone looking for a huge payday, as he has a much better chance than his odds imply. Thomas was the 29th golfer in the tournament last year, and is now fourth in the official world golf rankings. He secured his 16th victory at the signature event, RBC Heritage, with a total of seven top-10 finishes, including three runner-ups. <\/p>\n<p>The British Open was Thomas&#8217; toughest major, but he performed brilliantly on his previous trip to Royal Portrush, finishing 11th in the 2019 Open Championship. He enters the 2025 Open Championship, which leads the PGA Tour on both average and birdie averages, and the latter is important as the latter is usually difficult to come in this major championship.
