Ranked fifth in the FedEx Cup rankings, Cep Straca is a player who lacks from the competition as he was strong. <span class=\"link\">I will withdraw on Monday due to private family issues<\/span> Hoping to return to the Tour Championship next week.<\/p>\n<p>Second-placed Rory McIlroy makes his playoff debut after skipping the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week. He is trying to assert himself as a major threat to Scotty Schaeffler&#8217;s domination, but he must do so from an eight-shot of Schaeffler&#8217;s four strokes and 18-hole leader Robert McIntyre.<\/p>\n<p>Schaeffler is locked up in first place in the FedEx Cup standings and is awarded to appear in the Tour Championship after winning or losing this week, making it a victory or losing this week. He also has the advantage of removing McIlroy 2,000 points. Everyone else is jockeying for a position on that second FedEx Cup payment list or fighting to win a spot in the Tour Championship by making it within its top 30. <\/p>\n<p>Justin Rose won the JJ Supun playoffs last week, leaving the top 30 bubble and climbing from 25th to 9th in the rankings with a 2,000-point victory. With the quadruple pointing up the grab again, there are plenty of opportunities to make up the ground with strong performances on the Caves Valley course, which produced a low score when the PGA Tour last came in 2021. <\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s Ricky Fowler and Xander Schaufele <span class=\"link\">Among those doing what they need to do to get to East Lake.<\/span>Viktor Hovland is right in its top 30 numbers and needs to continue his strong week to keep that spot up. Hofland opening play in the top six is the very start he needs, but considering the talent on the field it&#8217;s difficult to maintain positioning for the remaining 54 holes.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s
