LONDON – Alex Noren has been named final vice captain of Luke Donald’s fifth European team at the Ryder Cup on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Noren scored two points from three matches during his 2018 European victory at Le Golf National, a suburb of Paris. That performance included a 40-foot putt on hole 18, defeating Bryson Deccanbo in his final Sunday singles match.<\/p>\n

This year’s Ryder Cup will be contested at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26th to September 28th.<\/p>\n

The other four vice captains have already been named, and were also set up when Europe won the 2023 victory at Marco Simone, a suburb of Rome.<\/p>\n

Noren was the only new vice captain, and Nicholas Corsart was the only vice captain not held for two years.<\/p>\n

“When I found out, it was a huge shock. I didn’t expect that at all,” Noren said. “I want to bring good attitude to the team room. I want to bring knowledge. I’ve been to this game for a long time.”<\/p>\n

Noren, the Swedish, has connections with the team’s Scandinavian players. Rasmus Hojard from Denmark, Victor Hofland from Norway, and Rudig \u00c5berg from Sweden.<\/p>\n

“He’s going to do everything he can to help his team. He’s a humble guy and that’s not about Alex,” Donald said. “He’s a good friend of mine.
