Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly set to prompt his departure from the club in January, with West Ham likely to be his option.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As I first reported here in the Daily Briefing a few weeks ago, Man United were also initially insistent on keeping Gilsey until the summer, but there is now a growing feeling they are open to letting him go.<\/p>\n

However, the Dutch international wants to play more regularly and is now expected to ask to leave Old Trafford, reports the Daily Mirror.<\/p>\n

West Ham could be an option for Zirksee, with the Hammers seemingly in need of some signings to shake things up this January after a poor start to the season.<\/p>\n

Joshua Zirkzee move makes sense for Man United and West Ham<\/h2>\n

Despite initially looking very promising at former club Bologna, Zirksee has struggled during his time at United and could now make sense for a move.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old clearly wants more playing time, but it doesn’t seem like that will happen anytime soon under manager Ruben Amorim.<\/p>\n

A loan to West Ham looks like a good option for United, as it doesn’t seem to make much sense to keep an unfortunate player who won’t be used much anyway.<\/p>\n

I’m sure WHUFC will be happy with this result. It will bring in something different to improve the attack, and players who have spent a lot of time on the bench will also be desperate to make an impression and find themselves in a position to compete in the Dutch national team’s World Cup squad.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, if Zirksee leaves, United may find it easier to replace them in attack, which could make them stronger in the second half of the season.<\/p>\n
