{"id":25962,"date":"2025-11-01T10:09:29","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T14:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsdaily.news\/index.php\/2025\/11\/01\/leeds-united-keep-tabs-on-in-form-championship-star-as-potential-transfer-target\/"},"modified":"2025-11-01T10:09:29","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T14:09:29","slug":"leeds-united-keep-tabs-on-in-form-championship-star-as-potential-transfer-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsdaily.news\/index.php\/2025\/11\/01\/leeds-united-keep-tabs-on-in-form-championship-star-as-potential-transfer-target\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds United keep tabs on in-form Championship star as potential transfer target"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Haji Wright celebrates a goal for the U.S. Men&#8217;s National Team (Photo by Dustin Bradford\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-body\">\n<!-- Article Start --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leeds United are reportedly monitoring in-form Coventry City striker Haji Wright as a potential transfer target, but he is unlikely to be the club&#8217;s priority in January.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The American international has been in great form since joining Coventry, scoring 40 goals in 94 games for the club, including nine in just 13 games so far this season.<\/p>\n<p>According to Football Insider, Wright is certainly a good enough player to step up to play in the Premier League, which has led to interest from Leeds.<\/p>\n<p>However, reporter Pete O&#8217;Rourke also revealed that he does not necessarily expect Los Blancos to make Wright one of their top priorities for the upcoming January season.<\/p>\n<h2>Latest information on Leeds United&#8217;s transfer for Haji Wright<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Haji Wright celebrating a goal for Coventry City (Photo by Richard Pelham\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>O&#8217;Rourke recently spoke about Wright&#8217;s situation on the Football Insider podcast:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He had a very good season with Coventry, scored for the Sky Blues last season and has nine goals in 13 games this season (as of October 30), so I&#8217;m sure other clubs will be taking note of that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s a priority for Leeds, to be honest. I think they&#8217;re looking for a wider attacking player, maybe a creative attacking midfielder as well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we don&#8217;t necessarily have a striker like Haji Wright and I don&#8217;t think Coventry will accept an offer for Haji Wright in the new year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leeds have made a good start to their return to the Premier League, but it will not be easy for them to maintain this status unless they make further signings with Daniel Farke&#8217;s side in January.<\/p>\n<p>Wright appears to be the ideal option to give LUFC something a little different up front, but Coventry will be doing everything they can to keep their current squad together as they aim for promotion.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Article End -->\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Haji Wright celebrates a goal for the U.S. Men&#8217;s National Team (Photo by Dustin Bradford\/Getty Images) Leeds United are reportedly monitoring in-form Coventry City striker Haji Wright as a potential transfer target, but he is unlikely to be the club&#8217;s priority in January.
