During Chelsea&#8217;s 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League today, Maresca described Caicedo as one of the two best defensive midfielders in the world at the moment. <\/p>\n<p>Chelsea are pleased with his performances so far and hope he can maintain his current form until the end of the season. He has played a pivotal role in their success so far this season. Chelsea want to fight for trophies and need Caicedo in top form.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s at the top. They will be hoping that the midfielder can fulfill his potential with them and develop into a world-class star. Chelsea also want to tie him to a new contract.<\/p>\n<p>Caicedo is also happy with his performance and wants to build on his excellent start to the season.
