New players are struggling, established players are unable to prove themselves, and the season is on the brink of collapse early on.<\/p>\n<p>There are understandable questions about the attackers, including Alexander Isaac and Mohamed Salah. But more than that, their defense is a big concern.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ibrahima_Konates_contract_issue_is_attracting_attention\"><\/span>Ibrahima Konate&#8217;s contract issue is attracting attention<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ibrahima Konate is currently a hot topic. Not only is his form a concern for the Reds, but contract issues could also be affecting his game.<\/p>\n<p>The defender is yet to sign a new contract at Anfield, and with his contract expiring in the summer, things are heading in an unknown direction with Real Madrid interested.<\/p>\n<p>Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the contract issues between Konate and Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p>He said on the Here We Go podcast:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Look at Konate. What we can say is that Liverpool and Konate&#8217;s agent continue to be in direct contact. So the conversations are ongoing.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Liverpool have made an offer to Konate. So basically there is a proposal on the table to extend his contract in order to sign a new contract with Liverpool.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Negotiations are ongoing. It is now up to Konate to decide whether he wants to stay at the club or start a new chapter and perhaps leave England and try something different.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We do know about Real Madrid&#8217;s interest.
