However, unlike the original trophy made of 18-carat gold and malachite, the Lego version is crafted from plastic, making it much lighter than the original’s 6.175 kilograms (13.6 pounds).<\/p>\n
Slated for release in March at a price of $200, it features a “hidden scene accessible through a pull-out flap in the top globe,” according to a Lego statement. FIFA maintains possession of the original trophy in Zurich.<\/p>\n
