The event will feature 20 mixed teams of PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions players competing with their families for a share of the $1.085 million prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Tiger Woods has been a major draw in the field in recent years, competing with his son Charlie. But this year, Team Woods is not playing as Tiger is recovering from his latest surgery, a disc replacement in October.<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s still plenty of star power in this field to enjoy this weekend. John Daly is playing with his son John Jr. Nelly Korda is playing with his father, Petr, and 86-year-old Lee Trevino also returns with his son, Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>Bernhard Langer will be competing for a three-peat after winning the tournament the past two years, including defeating Team Woods in an epic playoff to clinch the championship in 2024. Each team will play in a two-person scramble format over 36 holes.<\/p>\n<p>The first round of the PNC Championship will be available on television through Golf Channel. It airs Saturdays at 12:00 PM ET, followed by NBC at 2:30 PM ET.
