The first session (holes 1-9) is called a &#8220;triple&#8221; and the second session (holes 10-15) is called a &#8220;single&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Triples is a 3-on-3 format in which players rotate their shots. For example, player 1 tees off, player 2 hits the second shot, and player 3 hits the third shot. The lineup also rotates, so each player can take all kinds of shots. Singles is a head-to-head format with each match covering two holes.<\/p>\n<p>advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Each hole is worth one point and the team with the most points wins the match. Teams can also throw &#8220;hammers&#8221; to add one point to the value of the hole, and each team has three &#8220;hammers&#8221; per match.<\/p>\n<p>If a hole ends in a tie, no points are awarded and teams advance to the next hole.
