Following a three-way title battle at the final 2025 F1 race in Abu Dhabi, McLaren’s Lando Norris won his first world championship just two points behind four-time reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen, with Norris’ McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri a further 11 points behind in third place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prize money is awarded based on points in F1, but will Norris’ 2025 crown make him the season’s outstanding driver? Or was it Verstappen’s relentless pursuit of the McLaren duo, winning six of the last nine Grands Prix that took him to the top?
