{"id":36753,"date":"2026-01-03T15:06:32","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T20:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsdaily.news\/index.php\/2026\/01\/03\/arsenal-player-ratings-declan-rice-gets-9-10-after-scoring-a-great-brace-but-it-was-a-mixed-night-for-gabriel\/"},"modified":"2026-01-03T15:06:32","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T20:06:32","slug":"arsenal-player-ratings-declan-rice-gets-9-10-after-scoring-a-great-brace-but-it-was-a-mixed-night-for-gabriel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsdaily.news\/index.php\/2026\/01\/03\/arsenal-player-ratings-declan-rice-gets-9-10-after-scoring-a-great-brace-but-it-was-a-mixed-night-for-gabriel\/","title":{"rendered":"Arsenal player ratings: Declan Rice gets 9\/10 after scoring a great brace, but it was a mixed night for Gabriel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Declan Rice celebrates with his Arsenal teammates after scoring against Bournemouth (Photo by Michael Steele\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-body\">\n<!-- Article Start --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arsenal won a hard-fought 3-2 away game against Bournemouth, extending their lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gunners fell behind 1-0 early on, but fought back to take a 3-1 lead in the second half thanks to a goal from Declan Rice.<\/p>\n<p>However, Arsenal were still strong enough to protect their lead and three points, but it was a nervy end for the home side as they trailed by a point.<\/p>\n<p>Read our full review of Arsenal players\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>Arsenal vs Bournemouth player ratings<\/h2>\n<p><strong>David Raya \u2013 6<\/strong> \u2013 Having conceded two goals, Raya may not have been in the happiest mood of the season, but in fairness not many goalkeepers would have been given a chance on this one as Bournemouth\u2019s second goal was an absolute screamer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julian Timber \u2013 7<\/strong> \u2013 In a somewhat erratic run overall, Timber, perhaps Arsenal&#8217;s best defender, did a good job against the threat of Antoine Semenyo and moved the ball forward as well as he often does.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clown Hincapie \u2013 6.5<\/strong> \u2013 Still adjusting to English football, Hincapie was solid enough today, if not always 100% convincing against an admittedly strong Cherries team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gabriel Magalh\u00e3es \u2013 6.5<\/strong> \u2013 In short, it was a tough performance! This is a bit of a rarity for them as both first-choice centre-backs are fully fit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martin Zvimendi \u2013 7<\/strong> \u2013 Handled the ball well and Zvimendi controlled the game well as usual.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Declan Rice \u2013 9<\/strong> \u2013 Two well-scored goals, this was Declan Rice in his element, and this great goal put the Gunners up 2-1 early in the second half\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martin Odegaard \u2013 8<\/strong> \u2013 The silky and skilful Martin Odegaard continued his recent resurgence, smartly assisting Rice\u2019s first goal, and was a pleasure to see again tonight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noni Maduike \u2013 7.5<\/strong> \u2013 Made an unusual start by beating Bukayo Saka and looked active on the right flank with great skill, especially setting up Gabriel&#8217;s equalizer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gabriel Martinelli \u2013 6<\/strong> \u2013 Frustratingly inconsistent, this was one of Gabriel Martinelli&#8217;s worst games, with the Brazilian winger unable to influence things and failing to make the right decisions in key moments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Victor Gokeres &#8211; 6<\/strong> \u2013 Although a hard worker, Gokeres still appears to lack the quality and goalscoring ability that Arsenal need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sub:<\/strong> Gambriel Jesus 6, opening and<\/p>\n<p><!-- Article End -->\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Declan Rice celebrates with his Arsenal teammates after scoring against Bournemouth (Photo by Michael Steele\/Getty Images) Arsenal won a hard-fought 3-2 away game against Bournemouth, extending their lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
