reported that there was a rift in their relationship before the weekend’s draw, with Jason Wilcox at the forefront of the issue.

However, he and the rest of the hierarchy now have a huge task of finding a long-term solution, with Darren Fletcher currently filling the role on an interim basis.

A number of names have already been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford, which could finally get the club back on the right track in the Premier League.

<h2 Amorim’s sudden departure from United, the Red Devils have seen countless names join their squad, including Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.

The Austrian has consistently voiced his dissatisfaction with the lack of funds at Selhurst Park in recent months, while refusing to make any progress on his current contract.

His contract in London is due to expire at the end of the campaign and he could become a cheap and effective option for the Red Devils hierarchy in the coming weeks.

Glasner is not the only player on the shortlist at the moment, with German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann also currently being considered.

According to The Independent, INEOS are full of praise for the 38-year-old, but given his current commitments, it may be highly unlikely that a deal will be finalized in the coming months.

However, he says a deal could be floated in the summer, especially after he leads Germany to this summer’s World Cup.

Christopher Wibel is familiar with his work at Red Bull Leipzig, so there is already a natural connection.

<h2 the past few years, thanks to the success he has endured while managing Crystal Palace.

He led the Eagles to their first ever major trophy at the end of last season, before defeating Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley in the FA Cup final.

The Austrian has since confirmed his success in the Community Shield in August and also took charge of the club’s first ever trip to Europe in the 2025/26 season.

His current contract situation certainly makes him a more viable option for INEOS, but they need to seize the opportunity to target Nagelsmann.

Despite only being 38 years old, the German has already amassed an impressive resume, having spent 18 months in charge of his country while managing Bayern Munich.

He won the Bundesliga title in the 2021/22 season, while achieving a record of 71% winning percentage and 2.3 goals scored in the German top flight.

Nagelsmann has won two Supercup titles during his managerial career and
