He is expected to remain in his post alongside Johan Lange and be in charge of Tottenham through the remainder of the winter transfer window.

The window for English clubs closes on Monday, February 2nd, after which Paratici will finalize his move to Florence.

Despite his impending departure, Paratici remains active in building the team. He was instrumental in arranging the deal for Brazilian left-back Souza from Santos, who is expected to be Spurs’ first signing this month.

A transfer fee has reportedly been agreed for the highly-rated teenager, in a deal that highlights the nature of Paratici’s extensive South American scouting network.

However, the brevity of his second tenure surprised many.
