The 2026 PGA Tour season began this week at the Sony Open.<\/p>\n

Jordan Spieth made his season debut and showed “significant improvement” from the 2025 season. Collin Morikawa couldn’t make it to the weekend at Waialae Country Club, but 62-year-old Vijay Singh did.<\/p>\n

Davis Riley, Chris Gotterup and Harry Hall jumped to the top of the leaderboard on Saturday, with Riley holding the 54-hole lead.<\/p>\n

But Sunday at Wailea was a different story.<\/p>\n

Riley, a two-time PGA Tour winner, played the first five holes at 2 under, but then went bogey, bogey, double and watched Gottap accelerate to take the lead.<\/p>\n

Gotterup came out at 3 under, birdied the 12th and 13th to extend his lead to three strokes and never looked back as he headed for his third PGA Tour win.<\/p>\n

Robert McIntyre and Jacob Bridgman both dropped down on Sunday to finish tied for fourth, while Ryan Gerrard shot a five-under 65 to take sole second place on 14 under.<\/p>\n
