The former Benfica player has been so vocal about his dissatisfaction with CFC that he told Mexican broadcaster TUDN that he did not understand why former manager Enzo Maresca was sacked, as reported by Metro newspaper.<\/p>\n
“I don’t understand that either. Sometimes we as players don’t understand how and in what way they try to manage things,” Fernandes said.<\/p>\n
“Obviously, this departure hurt a lot because we had an identity. He gave us instructions, good and bad, just like how you play football.<\/p>\n
“But he always had a clear identity when it came to training and playing, and obviously his departure was a big blow for us. Especially in the middle of the season, it cuts everything short.”<\/p>\n
