I&#8217;m trying to play the best tennis possible. It was a very good day at the office today,&#8221; Sinner, who missed a break point in the semifinal, said in an on-court interview.<\/p>\n<p>Sinner, who is trying to become the first man to win five consecutive Masters 1000 tournaments, will face No. 3 Alexander Zverev or Belgium&#8217;s Alexander Brox in Sunday&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<p>Sinner also joined the elite list with Friday&#8217;s win. He is the fourth and youngest player to reach the finals of all nine Masters 1000 events, following Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.<\/p>\n<p>The world No. 1 broke Fils&#8217; serve twice in the first set and was under pressure at 30-30 in the sixth game of the second set, but held his serve with consecutive aces to make it 3-3.<\/p>\n<p>Sinner made a crucial break with a backhand winner down the line to take a 5-4 lead before serving out the match against the Frenchman.<\/p>\n<p>Sinner&#8217;s winning streak also includes titles at Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s event, Mila Andreeva will face Marta Kostyuk in Saturday&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MADRID &#8211; World No. 1 Yannick Siner extended his winning streak to 22 matches with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Arthur Fils in the final of the Madrid Open on Friday.
