Manchester City, soon to be managed by Enzo Maresca, are interested in signing him this summer, and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that negotiations are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, it will be difficult to replace him, especially since the Blues don&#8217;t offer an immediate transfer target in European football. That said, Alonso&#8217;s project is promising success, and his brute-force shrewdness could pay off for Londoners.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it has been confirmed that Strasbourg midfielder Valentin Barco is heading to Chelsea, with reports saying he plans to sign as soon as the transfer window opens.
