There are many ways to build a franchise, but Golden State chose to build international talent with the aim of winning the championship in its third to fifth year. That’s not this year, but the team’s younger make-up shows it. Head coach Natalie Nakaze said that after the first preseason game he is pleased with the team’s offensive show, but there is still a way to go defensively. They will likely become jockeys to establish lottery positions throughout the season.

12. In the youth-injected roster, the main goal of the mystic this year is to look at how all of the pieces fit, especially the younger cores of Sonia Citron, Kiki Iliafen and Aliya Edwards. The team has many talents, but they want to overcome the ACL torn apart by Georgia Amoor, the sixth pick in the preseason.

11. Diaika Humvee is in an All-Star season and she is now welcoming her former Las Vegas teammate Kelsey Plum to Angel City.
