Monday’s fourth-round match between No. 2 Alexander Zverev and No. 13 Jiri Lehechka did not end as planned. The match was scheduled for Monday, but was suspended due to Wimbledon’s curfew and did not finish until Tuesday.<\/p>\n

At the time of the stoppage, Zverev had a clear lead. After winning the first two sets 6-4, 7-5, Zverev and Rehekka were tied 3-3 in the third set and the match was stopped.<\/p>\n

When his form picked up on Tuesday, it initially appeared as if Rehekka benefited the most from the break. He managed to start the day with a three-game winning streak, taking the third set 6-3.<\/p>\n

Zverev won the first game of the fourth set, but Rehechka proved he was going to win tough. After a series of back and forth games, the set eventually went to a tiebreak. Zverev narrowly won there.<\/p>\n

If she wins, she will advance to the quarterfinals, where she will face American Taylor Fritz on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Zverev’s match was originally scheduled for Monday at Center Court, with a strict cut-off of 11pm local time. It wasn’t the first match to barely make it to Wimbledon’s curfew. Sunday night’s women’s game featuring Coco Gauff lasted until just before curfew, but she scored the winning goal just minutes before time was up.<\/p>\n

As Zverev finished his fourth-round match on Tuesday, some of the other players were finishing up their quarterfinal matches.<\/p>\n
