Argentina took a 2-1 lead against Switzerland in extra time in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals thanks to a stunning goal from Julian Alvarez.<\/strong><\/p>\n Argentina took the lead in the 10th minute with Alexis Mac Allister’s superb header from Lionel Messi’s corner kick, but Switzerland were forced back by Dan Ndoye.<\/p>\n Normally both teams would cancel each other out, but the world champion took the lead thanks to Alvarez’s incredible range attack.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Argentina will now protect that advantage going into the World Cup semi-finals against England.<\/p>\n Switzerland will be completely disappointed in the way the match has played out.
