--><!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<p>The Baggies finished the 2025\/26 season in 21st place in the second tier and will be hoping to move further up the table under permanent manager James Morrison, who has already added some notable players to his squad.<\/p>\n<p>Attackers Jimmy Jay Morgan and Bernie Stewart, who scored a combined 32 goals for their respective clubs last season, both join on permanent deals.<\/p>\n<p>However, they both play a central role in the attack and West Brom need to add more firepower to the team in the wide areas of their attacking set-up.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"why-west-brom-need-to-find-their-next-harvey-barnes\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_West_Brom_need_to_find_the_next_Harvey_Barnes\"><\/span>\n                        <strong>Why West Brom need to find the next Harvey Barnes<\/strong><br \/>\n               <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Having spent \u00a31.6m on Stewart and up to \u00a34m on Morgan, the Baggies may need to look for bargains in other positions, which is why the Premier League loan market could be an attractive route down.<\/p>\n<p>Back in the summer of 2018, the club acquired Harvey Barnes on loan from Leicester City, and he went on to become a full-fledged left-sided attacker at the Hawthorns, enjoying great success.<\/p>\n<p>The English forward scored nine goals and provided six assists in 26 games in the Championship during the first half of the 2018\/19 season, convincing the Foxes to bring him back in January.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2025\/26 season, none of West Brom&#8217;s natural wide players scored more than two goals in the second division, with Mikey Johnston and Jed Wallace scoring twice in the division.<\/p>\n<p>The lack of goal threat from Morrison&#8217;s wide players last season suggests he will need to return to the market again this summer to find a second generation for Barnes, who scored regularly on the left while on loan from Leicester.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! That&#8217;s because he too is on loan in the Premier League and could arrive at the Hawthorns as a right-footed left winger to score goals every week.<\/p>\n<p>The Baggies are in desperate need of a goal threat from the wide areas and Watson has the potential to be exactly what they are looking for.
