Therefore, Barcelona has started to consider alternatives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This follows several other reports giving hope that Arsenal are still in the race to sign Alvarez.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_being_said_about_Arsenal_and_Julian_Alvarez\"><\/span>What is being said about Arsenal and Julian Alvarez<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ben Jacobs is reported to have said he would not rule out Arsenal just yet, while Romano himself has previously said the Gunners would be the team to watch in this story.<\/p>\n<p>There is probably a more detailed explanation below.
