{"id":9816,"date":"2025-06-30T08:47:51","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T12:47:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsdaily.news\/index.php\/2025\/06\/30\/ra-hosts-last-chance-qualifiers-onsite-at-the-2026-open-championship\/"},"modified":"2025-06-30T08:47:51","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T12:47:51","slug":"ra-hosts-last-chance-qualifiers-onsite-at-the-2026-open-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsdaily.news\/index.php\/2025\/06\/30\/ra-hosts-last-chance-qualifiers-onsite-at-the-2026-open-championship\/","title":{"rendered":"R&#038;A hosts &#8220;Last Chance Qualifiers&#8221; onsite at the 2026 Open Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>R&#038;A announced on Monday that it will be holding on-site qualifying for the final spot of Royal Burkdale&#8217;s Open Championship Field starting next year.<\/p>\n<p>In response to a survey of fans who said they wanted more live golf, R&#038;A will debut in 2026 in what they call &#8220;the winner&#8217;s last and last qualifiers&#8221; on Monday of Tournament Week.<\/p>\n<p>R&#038;A will also host the Heroes Classic on Tuesday at Tournament Week, featuring many past championships and special guests.<\/p>\n<p>As with Monday&#8217;s qualifying for regular PGA Tour events, the 18-hole shootout adds to other roads in the open.
