  • Man City has decided to offload Kalvin Phillips
  • Leeds United don’t want to meet his wage demands

Manchester City is willing to offload midfielder Calvin Phillips this summer after British midfielder struggled to make an impact at Etihad Stadium.

Since leaving Leeds United for City, the midfielder has struggled with playing time under Pep Guardiola.

The player, once one of the best in the league in his position, is struggling to even move this summer.

He was a consistent performer in Leeds and although his position on the England national team was certainly true, his move into the city completely changed the dynamics of his career, making his life difficult.

Despite midfield problems, Guardiola did not trust the British midfielder and supported other options.

According to The Mirror, newly promoted Leeds United, led by manager Daniel Farke, is interested in signing Phillips this summer.

What’s positive for white people is that Man City is open to Phillips’ departure this summer, even if it’s on loan.

His previous loan spells at West Ham United and Ipswichtown didn’t work for the week, but they still haven’t changed Leeds United’s attitude towards player interest.

The only problem faced by newly promoted parties is the wage demands of former midfielders.

The UK midfielder is asking for around £120,000 a week, which is an amount Leeds doesn’t want to match.

That’s why they’re rethinking about signing players, as they feel that Phillips’ demands are too much for the wage structure.

With the struggle to offload the midfielder forever, Guardiola and his management are open to the idea of sending players in loan moves again.

It is still unclear whether his next destination is Elland Road or whether he will not see another Premier League ground.

Along with Phillips, City is interested in allowing Jack Glaeshe to leave the club this summer, and the midfielder has reportedly reached an agreement over a loan move to join Everton this summer, earning more playing time from Etihad Stadium.
