A transfer fee of around £60m to £70m could be expected in the summer. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Chelsea have expressed a “strong and serious” interest in signing the South American player. They need to tighten up at the back and securing a quality central defender will be a top priority for them ahead of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Liverpool also need quality defenders. Ibrahima Konate’s contract expires in the summer, so they need a replacement. Signing the Brazilian defender could be a step in the right direction. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to spend that kind of money on that player.

Murillo has proven himself in the Premier League and there is no doubt that he is now ready to join a big club. His agent is currently considering a move to a top-six team. It remains to be seen where he will end up. The asking price may seem expensive at the moment, but the player is young and the investment could be justified in the future.

Chelsea or Liverpool would be attractive destinations for the young defender, but it remains to be seen where he ends up. He will consider joining the club. He will be able to compete at a high level on a regular basis and fight for trophies.
