All eyes will be on who leaves Newcastle United this summer, but there is no doubt that the Magpies will be in the mood to spend big if a sale goes ahead.
The Tyneside club, who have already sent Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for around £69m, are now demanding £100m to sell Sandro Tonali following a £75m offer from Tottenham Hotspur, and have been forced to turn down Arsenal’s offer for Bruno Guimarães.

At least one more sale would give Eddie Howe his biggest budget since taking the job at St James’ Park. But as Newcastle have discovered more than any other team over the past 12 months, money does not equal smart investment.

Newcastle begin contract negotiations with big-money striker
As reported by Italy’s TuttoJuve, Newcastle are currently in definitive negotiations to sign Dusan Vlahovic, who will become a free agent when his contract with Juventus expires at the end of June.
The Serbian striker is currently linked with a move to the Premier League, with the Magpies the only club in the race to sign him. Vlahovic certainly has the talent to solve Newcastle’s problems when it comes to attacking solutions.

He has scored 136 goals for club and country and is only 26 years old. He will be the first to admit that his move to Juventus did not go as planned, but there will be no doubting his ability in front of goal.
With 136 goals, Blachowicz will be Newcastle’s biggest earner.
On paper, signing Vlahovic could look like a bargain deal this summer. After all, he will be joining as a free agent, meaning potential suitors won’t have to pay a transfer fee. However, if he refuses to take a cut from Juventus’ salary, that number will more than make up for the lack of transfer fees.
During his time in Turin, the 26-year-old earned an astonishing €22m (about £19m) a year and could become Newcastle’s top player by far.

Why Newcastle should go all out to sign Vlahovic
For the Magpies, his big salary may still be worth paying. They need a reliable goalscorer at the peak of his powers and Vlahovic is just that.
Serie A legend Luca Toni has even claimed that the Serbian player could become “one of the best strikers in the world” if he fulfills his potential, which could land him at Newcastle.
After a year of disappointing signings, if the forward manages to get over the line and sign a deal, it would put an end to Newcastle’s attacking misery.
