MANCHESTER, England (AP) — The highly anticipated battle between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is officially set to take place. The two former heavyweight champions will face off on December 11 in Cardiff, according to promoter Turki Alalshikh.
“For 15 years, no one has managed to arrange this fight,” Alalshikh announced on X. “Now, I can confirm Fury vs. Joshua will happen in the UK, as promised to British boxing enthusiasts. The time for talk is over…” The bout will be hosted at the Principality Stadium.

Turki Alalshikh, a Saudi Arabian adviser responsible for organizing boxing events in the kingdom, is behind the fight’s promotion. While both fighters may have passed their prime, the matchup is expected to attract worldwide attention and will be streamed live on Netflix during the early hours of December 12. Final approvals, including potential adjustments to the Principality Stadium’s premises license, are still pending.
