Luis Enrique praised a “special” win as Paris Saint-Germain secured their 11th consecutive victory by defeating Troyes.
Illia Zabarnyi netted the only goal, leading PSG to a 1-0 triumph at Parc des Princes.
With this latest win, PSG’s current streak ties for the third longest in the club’s history, following a 12-match run from April to August in 2015 and a remarkable 16-game stretch from December 2015 to February 2016.
This marks the second time Luis Enrique has achieved 11 straight wins as a coach, having previously done so with Barcelona in 2015.
As they head into the international break, PSG comfortably tops Ligue 1 with 23 points from 10 games.
“Eleven wins in a row is impressive,” said Luis Enrique. “What I find particularly noteworthy is winning every match between the two international breaks. It’s the first time we’ve accomplished that. Matches against teams low in the standings are often tricky, and while we tried to create more opportunities, they defended exceptionally well. I’m really happy, especially with a win in this kind of match. Every victory at Parc des Princes is special.”

PSG has won their last five home games across all competitions, marking their longest home winning streak in a season since August-October of 2024.
They have scored in each of their last 54 home Ligue 1 matches (135 goals total), a feat unmatched since Nice did it between May 1975 and February 1978 when they had a 55-match streak.
Zabarnyi has already scored two goals in five Ligue 1 matches this season, matching his highest output in a single season, and he is just one goal shy of his total from his first six league campaigns combined.
“We’re in great shape and form, and we just need to keep it going,” Zabarnyi stated. “Everything in the team is functioning well. We haven’t done anything extraordinary; we’ve just maintained our hard work and focus. Now it’s our time. I’ve put in the effort, and it’s paying off with my performances.”
Fan Take: This impressive streak not only highlights PSG’s dominance but also reinforces the growing competitiveness in Ligue 1. For soccer fans, PSG’s performance sets the stage for an exciting season, as their momentum could influence the overall landscape of European football.
