Arsenal has been busy in the transfer market in the past few weeks and is expected to come more for the Emirates. Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi have already signed and soon they were able to join Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Maduke.

Gyokeres has already agreed to personal terms with Arsenal. Arsenal now wants to secure an agreement with Sports CP. Maduke is more advanced and has already signed a contract with Chelsea. This means that he will now travel to North London to confirm his arrival.

Stan Collymore spoke in an exclusive CatedOffside column and evaluated Arsenal’s decision to move for Gyoker and Maduke.

“It’s gambling, but all the strikers are gambling. I don’t think the fans of Nottingham Forest didn’t think Chris Wood came and he gave it there. I think a lot of people would see Hodglund come and score at least a 10-15 goal for Man United.

“I think it’s really just Killian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to score 20, 30, 40 goals per season. So it’s a gamble with Gyoker. But he’s going to be confident. He’s got a lot of points in the sport and knows British football in Brighton, Swansea and Coventry.

“So it’s easy. Go across the line and sign a deal. Put him in before he gets frustrated. Or teams like Man United will submit a cheeky bid. Arsenal needs to get the business done. He’s worth gambling.

“If I were Arsenal, I wouldn’t go to Noni Madueke. If they went to the dynamic wideman that goes past the player, it has proven not only in his last few seasons, but also that I would go to Eze.

“Maduce looks a bit obvious. He’s in the area. He comes from a club in London and probably knows the guys from Arsenal. He’s got a bit of a hit at Chelsea and he’s missed it.

“So it’s no and I’ll go to Crystal Palace and see Eze. Madueke has nothing wrong with it, but for the next 3-5 years he’s not sure Arsenal will provide the numbers and performances he needs if he wins the Premier League title or the Champions League.”
