Haas will run tests of previous CAR (TPC) events for two Toyota drivers on Fuji International Speedway in August.

Ayao Komatsu’s team was able to set up a TPC program this year and took advantage of the opportunity to leave as race drivers to book Ryo River Sakigawa as well. A recently announced partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing will allow Toyota HR to gain experience through TPC running. The next step involves completing it for two days on Toyota’s home circuit.

Alongside hirakawa driving on August 6th, Super Formula Champion and three-time Super GT champion Showto Boy will experience the first taste of the F1 machine on August 7th, allowing audiences to access both days.

“Of course, I’m extremely excited to be able to run on Japan’s Fuji Speedway for two days in the first season of running the team’s TPC program,” Komatsu says. “The importance of driving on Toyota’s home circuit. We first announced our partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing last October, which is very special.

“After that, his first outing in the F1 car to Sho Tsuboi is equally pleased given his pedigree as multiple champions. We are clearly familiar with Ryo’s talent and look forward to his continued feedback on our program.

“There’s also the fact that we’re running the VF-23 and the tests are open to the fans. That’s great too. I know the passion that Japanese fans have in Formula 1, so this year we’ll be able to do our second run in the country after the great Japan Grand Prix in April.”

The test is further evidence of the enhancement partnership between Haas and Toyota and Director of TGR Global Motorsport, Masaya Kaji, who said it would provide development opportunities for both drivers and Toyota engineers.

“We are extremely pleased that this TPC is being held at Fuji Speedway,” Kaji said. “We formed a technical partnership aimed at honing three key elements of car manufacturing: “people, pipeline and products.” This TPC is part of an effort related to “people” that focuses on human resource development.

“We believe Sho’s challenge will not only contribute to his own skill development, given his experience as a Super Formula Series champion, but also provide valuable incentives for other TGR drivers.

“In addition, this is also a valuable learning opportunity for them, as there are mechanics and engineers from Toyota Motor Corporation. Experience the skills and skills needed at the best F1 stage in the world will certainly be an important experience for their growth.

“Together with the MoneyGram Haas F1 team, we aim to not only drive the growth of each driver, engineer and mechanic through these challenges, but also improve our technical skills.
