Discover the 15 NFL Teams Set to Unveil Fresh Helmets and Uniforms in 2025!

Although July typically marks the tail end of NFL offseason news, this year the excitement is ramping up early as nearly half the league is set to debut new alternative helmets, uniforms, or both throughout the month. At least eight teams will introduce fresh alternative looks starting this week, with the total expected to possibly reach 15 by month’s end.

The rollout begins with confirmed announcements from the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while sportslogo.net has predicted release dates for four additional teams. Here’s the schedule for the known releases in July:

– July 9: Commanders reveal their new alternative uniforms.
– July 9: Saints show off a new white alternative helmet, with full alternative uniforms coming on July 22.
– July 15: Buccaneers introduce a white-heavy version of their creamsicle uniform.
– July 15: Chargers unveil new alternative uniforms and helmets.
– July 16: Browns reveal new alternative helmets.
– July 21: Steelers debut new alternative uniforms and helmets.
– July 23: Packers unveil new alternative uniforms and helmets.
– Late July (date TBA): Seahawks expected to introduce new alternative uniforms.

Beyond these eight teams, 15 NFL teams will feature new alternative uniforms or helmets in 2025. This is largely connected to the NFL’s newly introduced “rival” program announced at the 2025 NFL Draft, which allows one NFC and one AFC division each season over the next four years to debut new rival-themed uniforms. In 2025, the AFC East (Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets) and NFC West (Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals) are the first to participate. This means the Seahawks stand out as the sole team expected to debut two distinct new looks this year.

Additionally, updated NFL regulations approved in April permit teams to wear alternate uniforms in four regular-season games instead of three, giving franchises with multiple alternate options greater opportunities to showcase them.

Fan Take: The wave of new alternative uniforms and helmets this year isn’t just a fashion update; it signals the NFL’s push towards greater branding creativity and fan engagement. For fans, this brings fresh excitement and variety to games, while for the sport, it offers new marketing angles and potential growth in merchandise sales.
