Manchester United are now one of the largest clubs in the world for over 30 years, mainly thanks to the premier league domination under Irish Alex Ferguson. They are huge and undoubtedly boast the largest fanbase in football.

That means, of course, there are quite a few famous names among the fans. We thought we would pick a few of them — but this is far from an exhaustive list. It is also worth mentioning that not only celebrities who once wore shirts, but also that they went to actual fans here.

Where does Man City icon Kevin De Bruin rank?

Justin Timberlake

I’ll start with something unusual here, but somehow I’ll come back for evidence. Justin Timberlake publicly missed himself as a United fan in 2007, mainly thanks to former striker/midfielder Alan Smith.

“I’m red! I’m a blacksmith and I’m a friend, so he…

“I’m red! I’m a blacksmith and I’m a friend, so he…

“I’m red!” he said. “I’m with Smithy so he’s my favorite player, but (Cristiano) Ronaldo isn’t bad either. I also like (Wayne) Rooney.

“Smithy got me crazy with some tickets, so I went to see a home game with West Ham.”

We don’t say he’s a stubborn fan, but certainly there’s a link there!

Eamonn Holmes

Stick to the charm of celebrities, TV presenter Eamon Holmes is a longtime United fan. In fact, he began his tribute at the funeral of United legend and fellow Northern Irishman George Best.

Holmes was a very openly and huge fan this month because he wanted to name his son after Sir Alex Ferguson. Criticizing the new third kit.

The presenter was actually featured alongside Ferguson in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Back in 2004, he is the only person on this list.

Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy is another who has proudly worn his united support on his sleeves for a while. The golfer found the nerve to put himself out as a fan in front of the Liverpool crowd in 2014. That didn’t work.

However, after winning the Open that year, McIlroy was invited to parade gray jugs around Old Trafford. It was an invitation he quickly accepted.

Just this week, McIlroy moved to provide support for unfire defender Harry Maguire.

“Absolutely (I feel sorry for him),” he told Sky Sports.

“Harry wakes up every morning, goes to work and does his best just like we all. Your life and career is exposed like that, and everyone is watching everything… You can make 20 great passes in the game.

Luke Ritler

The sense of darts, Luke Rittler has helped transform sports in recent years, but apart from Osh, Rittler is a stubborn man’s UTD supporter.

After plunging into the scene, Littler left the Star Truck after receiving a message from Red Devils icon David Beckham. He won the World Championships in 2025 and took the trophy to Old Trafford.

Olly Murs

Olly Murs is a loud United fan – he has a box at Old Trafford and recently toured the stadium for the club’s official website.

He has been seen frequently talking about clubs over the years, and in an interview with the Guardian last year he explained exactly why watching clubs mean so much to him.

“Take your dad to a Manchester United game. He’s a huge fan, but we couldn’t take him when we were kids. It’s far from Essex. We couldn’t afford it. When I entered the industry, one of my first purchases was an Old Trafford box. I was able to take him.”

A passionate fan of United, that’s something you like to see.

Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor’s support for Man UTD really fell into public consciousness last year when talks were made ahead of a bid to buy the club. Now it quickly became clear that he lacked the funds to make it happen.

Still, McGregor certainly wasn’t that just After the promotion. He previously spoke about his support for the club, including a lengthy interview with the official club site in 2021.

“I was drawn to the success and victory mentality of those surrounded by the club and United. Irish legends like Dennis Irwin and Roy Keene were dedicated to their craft and had that victory mentality.

“Roy Keene was one of the best midfielders European football has ever seen. The enemy is mentally beaten before stepping on the pitch to head over to him.”

It’s a good read and rare to see lots of stories about the club from “celebrity” fans. McGregor has loyalty to Celtic, but we should say, he has no doubt sufficient support for United.

Dave

Award-winning rapper Dave is a huge United fan. Just listen to his music to find it. His 2021 release, “We All Alone In This This This,” featured several screams for the club.

Aaron Wang Bisaka and Anthony Marshall both dropped their names. Even the young Amado Diallo was mentioned on the track. Touching on further later, we can see that Dave tweeted like a typical fan in 2019, mainly along with Paul Pogba propaganda.

Angry ginge

Man Utd, one of today’s most famous British YouTuber and Twitch streamer, is part of the angry Ginge personality.

The angry ginge, real name Morgan Bertwistle, known for his “Yanitette” explosion, is also the owner of Old Trafford’s season tickets. He played in the stadium for Soccer Aid 2025, facing Carlos Tevez.

Richard Ashcroft

Stick to the theme of musicians, Richard Ashcroft has been a united fan since childhood. He was another interviewer with the official club site and explained how he got on United.

“I came from such a hybrid area. Built near where I grew up, Skelmersdale was a new town in Liverpool. So there was a real mix of football supporters at the school.

“But essentially he was an old friend of mine. I had a family who lived across the road where I went to see United. They took me to my first match when I was 10 or 11.”

The Verve frontman then spoke about his first trip to Old Trafford.

“It was a cliché moment when I first saw the greenery on the stadium and the pitch, and when I first started going to Old Trafford, it was when Ron Atkinson was the manager.

“Everyone was stuffed at the edge of Stretford. They were days!”

Brian O’Driscoll

Rugby icon Brian O’Drisco is another huge Red Devils supporter, with the Irish acknowledging that the majority of Dublin’s Liverpool fans have grown to follow Man UTD.

His first idol at Old Trafford was Mark Hughes, who revealed he was the winner of All-Gunnard Solskaer against Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final.

Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt has never hidden his loyalty to Man United, dating back to his heyday in 2012.

Then, of course, there was a spell that Bolt tried to break into top-level football, and while he was on trial with Borussia Dortmund, he publicly admitted that his true dream was to play for United.

“One of my biggest dreams is to sign Manchester United. If Dortmund says I’m good enough, I’ll train hard.
“I spoke to Alex Ferguson and he told him he needed to put in good words.

Tyson Fury

It’s pretty rare to get there so far through a list like this without finding the right local fans, but here it is. Tyson Fury is from Greater Manchester and has been speaking out about his support, especially in the last few years.

But he is clearly a fan who knows his own. Fury opposed grain and predicted United would be a potentially better side without Cristiano Ronaldo last year.

“When you have a superstar like Ronaldo, everyone relies on him to score goals, and if he wasn’t there, they’d score their own goals like they’d played the season before.

“I’m not saying he’s a bad asset, he’s a great asset, but sometimes with star players, he carries the team and the young people are cast a shadow over everything.

You will often find Fury support on social media. EFL Cup Or, Mason Mount is welcome to the club.

Stormgy

Stormzy appeared in Sky Sports coverage last season and went viral after admitting to being a star track in the United Games. After all, here is a lifelong fan of the club at Old Trafford, where we talked about the team during Monday night football.

But has Stormzy actually become a fan? He explained in an interview with Soccer AM a few years ago that it was simply a case of stars lined up.

“I always get sticks.

“Perhaps you’re seeing him say, ‘Is he supporting United, hearing his accent?’ But that’s exactly how the stars were allotted for me.

“It all came from me, like when I was younger, I didn’t have a big brother or my dad who supported United.

“What can you do about Cockney Red?”

Stormzy also took part in Paul Pogba’s announcement video for the club in 2016, but by posting the video early, he made the signature infamous. We can hardly blame him for being excited, heart.
