Manchester United defender Luke Shaw struggled with injuries last season and started just four games in the Premier League.
The 30-year-old defender has been unable to showcase his true qualities since joining Manchester United, and his time at Old Trafford has been plagued by persistent injuries.
The show is highly rated by Amorim
Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim considers England International to be a world-class player.
He said (h/t Samuel Luckhurst): “I think Luke Shaw is a world class player. He’s the ability to do one offense when he touches the ball.”
It will be interesting to see if he will have more opportunities than next season. Manchester United also has players like Diego Leon, Patrick Dorgu and Tyrell Malacia.
There is no doubt that a 30-year-old has quality and experience, but availability is a big issue for him. Manchester United can’t rely on him to start most of the games.
Man United must sell Luke Shaw
In addition to that, players are currently linked to the transition to Saudi Arabia. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United have decided to hold him beyond this summer. If the right offer comes, if Manchester United decides to keep him at the club, that’s pretty surprising.
Regardless of his quality, he is an unreliable asset and Manchester United will do well to win cash on him. Meanwhile, the defender aims to get his career back on track with regular game time. Given his current options in that area of the pitch, it’s unlikely he’ll start every week at Manchester United.
It’s not a surprise if the 30-year-old decides to move on. He must play regularly at this stage of his career. Sitting on the bench at Manchester United won’t appeal to him. With the arrival of the World Cup next year, he certainly hopes to continue his chances of playing for England.
