“I’m excited about the opportunity and have experience from leads in Ireland and other events I’ve been to,” she said. “I’m going to give it a try – I feel good.”

Her first 10 holes fourth birdie briefly extended the advantages of Woad to three shots, leaving her under 17 in a short 15 day bogeys – only the second time with 54 holes – despite picking up more shots on the 14th and 17th.

It was two people than Danish’s Nanna Korsz Madsen and South Korea’s Say Young Kim. He shot an impressive 66.

Seven-time LPGA winner Hyo Joo Kim matched to sitting on one back, while world number one Nelly Korda is 12 shot ad-lifted for 12 shots after a bogey-free 70.

The last time he won the professional women’s European tour debut was Shannontan in Singapore at the 2024 Magical Kenya Ladies Open.

“There was a lot of attention being paid, so this makes me feel a little more free, as I got the (LPGA) card,” Woad said.

“I don’t think you can expect to lead, but I knew my game was good and I played a lot last month or so, and I definitely wanted to fight.
