Emma Laducanu won the semi-final loss in Washington, DC on Monday over the Elena Gabriella Race at the Canadian Open.
Just two days after losing to Anna Karinskaya, Radukanu showed that she had shown the wonderful form she had shown in the US capital.
Britt was keen to acquire the hard court pace in preparation for the US Open, which begins on August 17th.
Raducanu stepped backwards in the opening stage as he reduced five breakpoints in his serve in the second set. But she bouncing back to rattle five straight games,
Ruse was second most competitive as the pair shared a break, but it was Raducanu who was able to book her place in the second round.
“I’m happy to have experienced it, I know Elena and she is my very good friend. It’s very difficult to play someone you’re nearby,” Radkanu said.
“So I’m really proud of how I put it on one side for the game, backed up a good week at DC last week and worked well today.”
Radkanu will face American Payton Stearns in the second round.
