Oscar Piastri, the leader of the 2025 Formula 1 Championship, secured his sixth win of the season at the Belgian Grand Prix. He currently holds a 16-point lead over his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris, in the drivers’ standings.

Remarkably, Piastri has achieved his 39th consecutive finish within the top 10, a streak that began at the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix. This impressive run places him third on the all-time list for the most consecutive point-scoring finishes in Formula 1 history.

At the top of this list is Lewis Hamilton, who managed to finish in the points for 48 consecutive races from the 2018 British Grand Prix through to the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix. Hamilton’s streak was halted by the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, but had it continued, it might have extended by six more races up to the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen ranks second with 43 straight point finishes, spanning from the 2022 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix to the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Hamilton’s current run of points finishes stands at 34 races, a streak that has lasted since the 2024 Australian Grand Prix.

The record for most consecutive points finishes currently stands as follows:
– 48 races: Lewis Hamilton (2018 UK GP to 2020 Bahrain GP)
– 43 races: Max Verstappen (2022 Emilia Romagna GP to 2024 Saudi Arabian GP)
– 39 races: Oscar Piastri (2023 Las Vegas GP to 2025 Belgian GP)
– 34 races: Lando Norris (2023 Abu Dhabi GP to 2025 Spanish GP)
– 34 races: Lewis Hamilton (2024 Japanese GP to 2025 Belgian GP)
