  • Eddie Howe publishes an update for Alexander Isak
  • Liverpool receives signs of encouragement to make a move

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has issued a clear update on Alexander Isaac’s future, acknowledging that the club may not have full control of the striker’s next step.

At a press conference held in Seoul during the preseason, Hau confirmed that although he is on a contract until 2028, considerable interest from Liverpool complicates Newcastle’s position.

Hau confirmed that Isaac is eager to stay, but admitted that the player’s strong desire to leave could force a different outcome.

“He’s still our player. He’s signed with us… We’re in control of what’s next for him to some extent,” Howe said as Sky Sports reported. However, he admitted that “it’s not my complete control.”

Liverpool can provide around £120 million, which could be a record fee for Newcastle.

It came after Liverpool sold Louis Diaz to Bayern Munich and believed they had the firepower to boost Isaac as a signature for the marquee. Isaac himself is reportedly keen to join Liverpool and, according to Sky Sports Switzerland, agrees to personal terms in advance.

Hau’s candid entrance marks the fork moment of the Isaac Transfer Saga.

As negotiations begin quickly, the situation is rapidly evolving into one of the most important transfers of the summer.

Liverpool’s long-standing interest, coupled with Newcastle’s internal unrest, suggests that movement may be imminent.

Following the signatures of Florian Wiltz, Hugo Ekicchique, Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerkez, we further cement Liverpool’s claims to defend their Premier League title next season.

ISAK submitted a transfer request at St James Park this summer, but is not currently part of the team’s preseason tour. He hopes for a move this summer, and despite a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, the Swedes are keen to move to Champions Liverpool in the Premier League.
