Report: Aston Villa offered the opportunity to sign a 24-year-old South American

Aston Villa was offered the opportunity to sign Rodrigo Muniz this summer by Fulham.

Fulham is currently giving contract talks with players but has not yet reached an agreement. The 24-year-old striker representative is currently offering him to the club, with things like Aston Villa and Tottenham aware of his availability.

“Fulham has been talking to Muniz about a new deal since April, and nothing has been agreed,” Graeme Bailey told TBR Football.

“His people believe he deserves fresh conditions and it’s not a shock that other clubs are aware of his potential availability while they’re not over.”

Aston Villa needs more quality and depth with attacking units, ideally signing a 24-year-old. He was very impressive in the Premier League last season and was able to help Aston Villa improve in the future. They are overly dependent on Ollie Watkins, and England International needs more support for the attack.

It will be interesting to see if Fulham can convince the striker to sign a new deal. His current contract with the London Club will end in 2026, but they have the option to extend it by another year. Fulham hopes to keep him at the club for the long term.

The striker representative believes he deserves a lucrative contract following his performance last season, and Fulham needs to make the right effort to convince him to stay. It’s not easy for Fulham to keep the striker, as clubs like Aston Villa and Tottenham are interested. It is still unknown how the situation will develop.

A move to Aston Villa may help Muniz fight for the trophy in upcoming campaigns. They competed in the UEFA Champions League last season and boasted both quality teams and managers. Brazilians can be attracted to the idea of joining them.
